Job Description

Research & insights are at the centre of decision making The role: Manage and optimize product categories to meet customer needs and business goals Collaborate with suppliers, internal teams, and key customers to develop and deliver category plans Drive innovation through new product development, Own Brand, and exclusive products Conduct category reviews, analyse sales data, and identify gaps and opportunities Support and promote own brands and exclusive brands in line with business strategies Work with sales, marketing, and digital teams to maximize online and offline visibility Manage relationships with suppliers, industry bodies, and internal stakeholders Support major corporate initiatives and events to enhance category presence Deliver category income targets and ensure accurate product descriptions, images, and data Lead and develop category team members to achieve KPIs and business objectives Ideal candidate: Proven experience in a buying, category management, or retail procurement role in a foodie environment Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and market insights Demonstrates excellent influencing and negotiation skills with suppliers and internal stakeholders Experienced in managing NPD processes and cross-functional projects Creatively minded with a passion for food, retail, or supply chain Strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to work under pressure Decisive, consultative, and results-oriented, with the ability to challenge the status quo Excellent communication skills, capable of collaborating across teams and levels Benefits & details: Competitive Salary: up to £55,000 Car Allowance £6000 Bonus 20% Healthcare Pension Excellent Culture Hybrid working – 2 days p week in the office, 3 days working from home.
