HGV Class 1 Driver

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all road safety regulations. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to manage various driving tasks, including flatbed transportation. 6pm start to 6am. Responsibilities Operate lorries in a safe and responsible manner, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations. Transport goods to designated locations, ensuring timely delivery. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance. Secure loads properly on flatbed vehicles to prevent damage during transit. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage and fuel consumption. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the vehicle at all times. Experience Proven experience in commercial driving is essential, with a valid HGV licence. Experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred. Familiarity with flatbed lorry operations is advantageous. Strong understanding of road safety regulations and best practices in transportation. Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail are required for maintaining accurate delivery records.
