Transport Controller Location: Aberdeen Employment Type: Full Time, Permanent ⏱️ Hours: 7 days on / 7 days off | 06:00 – 18:00 Are you a proactive, forward-thinking professional with a passion for logistics and customer service? We are seeking a highly motivated Transport Planner to join our clients team in Aberdeen. In this fast-paced role, you'll be responsible for ensuring the efficient utilisation of our fleet while upholding the highest standards of safety and service. Key Responsibilities Efficiently manage cargo collections and deliveries using our Transport Management System (TMS) Plan transport activity and communicate with the Transport & Distribution Team Ensure clear, accurate driver communication via the TMS phone app Co-ordinate the use of special vehicles (e.g. low loaders, extending trailers) Plan and manage abnormal loads in accordance with legislation Monitor vehicle tracking to improve performance and reduce inefficiencies Identify cost-saving opportunities related to third-party services Assist with vehicle servicing, MOTs, and inspections to meet compliance requirements Support continuous improvement in customer service, processes, and cost control Champion a strong HSEQ (Health, Safety, Environment & Quality) culture Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards What We’re Looking For Minimum Requirements Strong verbal and written communication skills Excellent planning abilities, including financial tracking Ability to work independently while contributing to team success Resilient under pressure in fast-changing environments Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel Desirable Experience in a high-pressure transport environment with multiple vehicle movements Working knowledge of road transport legislation and driver hour management If you're ready to take on a challenging yet rewarding role where your skills will directly impact operational success, we’d love to hear from you.
