The position includes call responsibilities, typically 2-3 times every two weeks, with an average of 4 hours per call, usually before or after the shift. Job Summary: As a CT Technologist, you will perform advanced CT procedures, acquiring digital images necessary for physicians to diagnose and treat diseases. Your responsibilities will include planning and executing various CT procedures, utilizing advanced technology based on clinical criteria and established protocols. You will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and quality of images while adhering to dose guidelines. Key Responsibilities: - Operate CT scanners and related equipment to acquire diagnostic images. - Prepare patients by ensuring proper positioning, immobilization, and application of protective shielding as needed. - Maintain protocols compliant with ImageGently guidelines and oversee integration of dose data management. - Conduct thorough patient preparation and maintain knowledge of clinical histories to match appropriate protocols. - Execute CT interventional procedures and complex CTA imaging studies, including those related to cardiovascular evaluations. - Stay up-to-date with evolving pharmacology, physiology, and physics principles relevant to CT scanning processes. - Ensure quality control of imaging while managing patient safety and comfort. Qualifications: - Graduated from a Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology. - Relevant experience in CT imaging and operations. - Certification in radiologic technology and any necessary licenses as required. - Strong communication skills, diagnostic imaging techniques, and medical equipment management knowledge. - Experience in radiation safety and the ability to work independently.
