Planning Manager

Role Overview: Leads planning activity to secure viable and deliverable consents for both short- and long-term land acquisitions. Works closely with land, technical, and wider teams to manage the planning process efficiently and strategically. Key Responsibilities: Contribute to overall business strategy and performance as part of the management team. Oversee planning function to ensure best practices, cost control, and value generation. Undertake planning appraisals, assess risk, and advise on deliverability and timelines. Manage planning applications and appeals across a range of sites. Lead engagement with local authorities, stakeholders, and communities. Promote land through the planning policy process and represent at Local Plan Examinations. Monitor changes in planning policy and advise on business impact. Prepare board reports, provide regular planning updates, and advise on policy changes. Maintain strong working relationships across internal teams and with external stakeholders.
