Adviser at The Phoenix Centre, Norwich Hours: 2 days, 15 hours per week Salary: £24,335 per annum (£9,865 Pro-rata) Job Type: Fixed term to February 2026 Annual Leave: 20 days plus bank holidays & five office closure days (Pro-rata) Location: Office based at the Phoenix Centre, Norwich Pension: 4.5% Contribution The Role: We’re looking for a compassionate and confident Adviser to join our team at Norfolk Citizens Advice. You’ll give advice, providing essential support over the phone, face-to-face, email on various issues to people facing financial hardship, housing problems, and rising energy costs. What you’ll do: · Deliver one-to-one advice face-to-face, by phone and email on any advice area clients may come to us with regarding energy, housing, finance, and crisis support · Offer clear, easy-to-understand advice to people facing complex challenges · Record case notes accurately using our digital system What we are looking for: We will provide full training. However, we will favour applicants who demonstrate the following experience: · Strong communication skills · Confidence using IT and phone systems · A calm, problem-solving approach · Ability to work independently and as part of a team · Experience in advice, call handling or support work (desirable not essential) We offer our staff: · Comprehensive training to become an accredited Adviser. · Ongoing support and professional development · 4.5% employer pension contribution · Opportunity for flexible working · 20 days annual leave plus bank holidays and five office closure days (3 at Christmas and two in the summer) The deadline for submission is Tuesday 19th August 2025.
