This position involves working Friday to Sunday from 7 PM to 7:30 AM EST, including holidays, on-call, and callback as needed. Key Responsibilities: - Confirm patient identity and verify the exam prior to beginning scans while strictly adhering to established policies for patient safety. - Collaborate with physicians to provide accurate diagnostic imaging. - Prepare patients for scans by explaining procedures to ensure their comfort. - Insert IVs as necessary for examinations. - Position patients safely, including lifting or moving individuals with limited mobility, following safe patient handling protocols. - Maintain accurate patient documentation in the EPIC system, ensuring proper image identification and transmission to the PACS system upon exam completion. - Keep the scanning facility clean and safe for both patients and staff. Requirements: - Completion of formal training in an accredited School of Radiologic Technology and certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). - New York State licensure (must be obtained prior to starting the position). - Two (2) years of Level 1 Trauma Center experience. - BLS certification from the American Heart Association. Preferred Qualifications: - Injection certification (must be willing to complete during orientation). - Experience with Philips and Siemens imaging equipment. Soft Skills: - Effective written and verbal communication skills. - A patient and compassionate disposition. - Ability to work as a team player and contribute to a cohesive environment. Experience Required: - Minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience. - At least six months of Siemens scanner experience is required.
