Associate Director – Health & Safety Consultant / CDM Principal Designer Salary : to £70,000 £6,000 car allowance (Plus excellent benefits package) Location : Hybrid (WFH/Central London Office) An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a Health & Safety professional with strong CDM Principal Designer experience to join a leading property and construction consultancy. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a client facing environment, enjoys variety across multiple projects, and wants to operate at a strategic level within a collaborative and high performing team. The Role As an Associate Director, you will play a key role in delivering CDM and Health & Safety consultancy services, acting as Principal Designer across a range of high value projects. You will work closely with internal teams, external consultants, and clients to embed safety into design and construction from the earliest stages. Key Responsibilities: Act as CDM Principal Designer in accordance with the CDM 2015 regulations Provide H&S compliance advice across the design and pre-construction phases Undertake site inspections and audits across live projects Identify and eliminate foreseeable design risks before work begins Collaborate with design teams, contractors, and clients to promote best practice Assist in developing internal H&S capabilities and mentoring junior team members Contribute to Health & Safety File and Pre-Construction Information documentation Requirements: Minimum 5 years’ experience in construction H&S or CDM roles (consultancy side) NEBOSH Construction Certificate as a minimum Tech IOSH or higher, and IMaPS (or working towards) Solid understanding of UK construction safety legislation and CDM process Experience working across multiple projects and/or clients Strong communication skills and a proactive, solutions-led mindset What’s on Offer Join a highly respected consultancy with a strong UK presence Work on high-profile and technically interesting projects Career development and CPD fully supported Hybrid working and a supportive, collaborative team culture Click Apply or contact Rob James at 020 8502 0111 for more information.
