Job Title: Sonographer Profession: Healthcare Specialty: Pediatrics Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 8 or 10 hours Hours per Shift: 40 Experience: Minimum of 1 year in pediatric sonography License: BLS, ARDMS required Certifications: Registry in Pediatric Echocardiography preferred, Fetal Echo encouraged, Adult Echo a plus Must-Have: - Knowledgeable and experienced with ECMO procedures. - Extensive understanding of congenital and unusual forms of non-congenital heart disease. Description: Will be needed to float to nearby clinic locations if necessary. Performs echocardiographic studies within the complete spectrum of diagnoses seen in fetal congenital heart disease, pediatric heart disease, and adult congenital echocardiography. Covers NICU, PICU, and Cardiac ICU. Recognizes and triages emergent situations. Provides written communication to cardiologists. Maintains equipment. Logs and bills procedures. Experience with Epic and PACS is required. Knowledge of Phillips equipment is preferred. Scrubs in Caribbean Blue are required. Weekend expectations include every 3 to 5 weeks. No on-call requirements. Holiday expectations include 1 major and 1 minor holiday coverage.
