Job Description Job Description The Tyndale Company, a 9x Top Workplace winner in PA, is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team in a fast-paced environment. This role is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting inventory accounting processes critical to manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of GAAP, manufacturing cost structures, and ERP systems, with a proactive approach to process improvement and cross-functional collaboration. HYBRID/REMOTE: Tyndale supports a strong work-life balance. This opportunity requires onsite work a minimum of 1 day per week, and 4 days per week remotely. To be considered, candidates must reside within a commutable distance from our corporate headquarters in Pipersville, PA (Bucks County). Responsibilities Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and monthly/quarterly/annual financial reports. Manage the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring compliance with internal policies and accounting standards. Maintain the general ledger and ensure accuracy in financial data across all accounts. Analyze and monitor standard and actual costs for manufacturing operations; identify variances and recommend corrective actions. Partner with operations and supply chain teams to evaluate cost drivers, inventory levels, and production performance. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for operations. Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules and providing necessary documentation. Drive process improvements and automation initiatives within the accounting and reporting functions. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, internal controls, and corporate policies. Train and mentor accounting staff as needed. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 7 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of cost accounting, inventory accounting, and GAAP. Proficiency with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional team. High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
