Job Description
Greenlane Renewables Inc., headquartered in metro Vancouver, Canada, is a pioneer in the rapidly growing renewable natural gas (“RNG”) industry. As a leading global provider of biogas upgrading systems, we are helping to clean up two of the largest and most difficult-to-decarbonize sectors of the global energy system: the natural gas grid and the commercial transportation sector. Our systems produce clean, low-carbon and carbon-negative renewable natural gas (RNG) from organic waste sources including landfills, wastewater treatment plants, dairy farms, and food waste. Greenlane is the only biogas upgrading company offering the three main technologies: waterwash, pressure swing adsorption, and membrane separation and has over 30 years industry experience, patented proprietary technology, over 100 hydrogen sulfide treatment systems sold, and over 140 biogas upgrading systems sold into 19 countries, including many of the largest RNG production facilities in the world. Greenlane is a publicly-traded company on the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX: GRN). The Plant Manager, Brazil will lead all aspects of local plant operations including assembly setup, facility planning, team development, training, safety, and production execution. This role ensures that local manufacturing operations are carried out efficiently, safely, and with high quality, enabling Greenlane to deliver reliable solutions to customers across Latin America. Duties & Responsibilities: Facility Selection & Setup Determine production process and select appropriate manufacturing methods Complete facility layout and size calculation Assist with facility selection Identify required tooling and equipment and manage its installation Plant Operations Lead setup of assembly processes, workflows, testing stations, and quality checkpoints for RNG system modules. Oversee daily plant operations including mechanical assembly, test execution, inventory, logistics, and documentation. Ensure the plant meets safety, quality, productivity, and cost efficiency goals. Collaborate with Engineering and Procurement teams to adapt designs for manufacturability and ensure component availability. Team Development & Leadership Build and manage a multidisciplinary local team (technicians, assemblers, warehouse). Develop and execute training programs for new hires and upskilling initiatives for current staff. Promote a strong culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement. Process & Quality Management Implement and sustain standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and training documentation. Monitor operational KPIs and drive corrective actions where necessary. Maintain plant compliance with internal safety standards and external regulatory requirements. Continuous Improvement Apply lean manufacturing principles and 5S to reduce waste, increase throughput, and optimize layout. Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) to resolve production or quality issues. Support product localization, cost-reduction initiatives, and lessons-learned feedback loops. Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Management, or related field. 7 years of experience in manufacturing or plant operations; 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role. Proven track record in plant assembly, team building, and facility management. Hands-on knowledge of mechanical systems and testing equipment. Strong understanding of EHS regulations and quality assurance processes. Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills. Fluent in Portuguese; professional proficiency in English required. Experience in renewable energy or capital equipment manufacturing is an asset.
