RURAL CARRIER ASSOCIATE (RCA)

As a Rural Carrier Associate (RCA)/Service Regular Route employee, you will be responsible for delivering and collecting mail along a prescribed rural route in rural and suburban areas. This position offers a unique opportunity to serve communities by ensuring timely and accurate mail delivery, fostering strong customer relationships, and contributing to the efficiency and effectiveness of the postal service. Sort and prepare mail for delivery on designated rural routes. Safely operate a vehicle to deliver and collect mail. Sell postal products and services to customers along the route. Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving delivery issues. Maintain and update route information as necessary. Report and manage any emergencies or unusual occurrences during the route. Proficiency in operating a vehicle safely under various road and weather conditions. Strong organizational skills for mail sorting and delivery route planning. Customer service skills to effectively interact with the public. Basic math skills for transactions involving postal products. Ability to lift and transport mail carriers and packages that may be heavy.
