Site/Setting Out Engineer

Duration: Temporary until December 2025 Rotation: 11 days on / 3 days off Overview: We are currently seeking an experienced Site/Setting Out Engineer to join a major civil engineering project based in Shetland. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a key infrastructure development in a unique and challenging environment. Key Responsibilities: * Setting out works using Trimble GPS equipment * Supporting construction activities related to installation of 5km of 33Kv ducting * Ensuring work is carried out in accordance with engineering specifications and quality standards * Liaising with site supervisors and subcontractors to ensure smooth execution of planned activities * Contributing to site health and safety and environmental compliance * Overseeing and signing off temporary works as part of a supervisory role Requirements: * Proven experience working on civil engineering projects, ideally involving earthworks and utility infrastructure * Proficient in Trimble GPS surveying equipment * Strong understanding of site setting out, tolerances, and project documentation * Temporary Works Supervisor certification preferred (willingness to obtain is acceptable) Package: * Flights provided from all Scottish airports * Accommodation and transport covered while in Shetland * Competitive day rate * Supportive site team and long-standing contractor with a strong pipeline of future work To apply or find out more information please email your fully up-to-date CV or call the office on (phone number removed).
