Bookkeeper - Imports/Exports (JB5421) Location : Sandton, Johannesburg, Gauteng Salary : R30 000 - R38 000 per month (negotiable, based on experience) Employment Type: Permanent Workplace: In-office Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm A well-established import/export business is seeking a mature and experienced Bookkeeper to join their close-knit team and take ownership of key financial functions . The Ideal Candidate Is: Meticulous and detail-oriented. Reliable , punctual , and conscientious. Comfortable in a direct, transparent team environment. Calm under pressure, able to multitask, and willing to assist across departments as needed. Self-sufficient and capable of hitting the ground running. Minimum Requirements: Relevant Bookkeeping or Accounting qualification. Minimum of 6 years' bookkeeping experience . Own vehicle and a valid drivers licence . Must reside in Sandton or surrounding areas. Strong understanding of exchange rates. Proficient in Microsoft Excel , Word , Outlook , and either Pastel or Palladium. Previous experience in import/export or related industries is advantageous. Willing to complete Word and Excel proficiency assessments. Key Responsibilities: Full bookkeeping to Trial Balance. Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable. Cash Book processing and monthly journal entries. Inventory control and reconciliations. Credit card and petty cash reconciliations. Assist with monthly VAT submissions. Input and manage exchange rates. Assisting with tasks such as purchase orders , product sourcing , and export documentation (training provided). Liaise with management and prepare financial reports as required. Provide general team support as needed.
