Pay Information $2,161 per week About The Position Job Title: Emergency Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours (07:00 - 19:30) Experience: Preferred 2 years, but will consider less with a strong skill set License: Active RN License (MD or Compact) required Certifications: - BLS - ACLS - NIH - CPI - PALS Must-Have: - Ability to comfort patients of all ages - Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume emergency department Description: The position involves working in a busy emergency department. This department treats a wide range of medical diagnoses. The average daily census is approximately 130 patients. The facility has 47 beds and operates on a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:4. Nurses are required to float within their specialty if necessary. Weekend shifts are required every other week. Holiday shifts are mandatory as they fall. Experience in the interpretation and management of dysrhythmias is preferred. Candidates should be familiar with blood product administration, obtaining 12-lead EKGs, phlebotomy, starting IVs, and central line care. Nurses will manage continuous IV sedation and emergency medications. Documentation is completed using an electronic system. Travelers should be comfortable floating without restrictions. Returning travelers must have been away for at least 6 months. All candidates must provide two satisfactory professional references.
