Position Summary: The Nurse Manager is responsible for overseeing the clinical operations and nursing staff of the emergency center. This role ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, promotes a culture of safety, and leads the team in delivering compassionate and efficient care. The Nurse Manager will work closely with physicians, administrative leaders, and support staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes and staff performance. Key Responsibilities: Supervise and manage nursing and clinical staff, including scheduling, training, and performance evaluations Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations including EMTALA, OSHA, CLIA, COLA and infection control guidelines Oversee the completion and accuracy of nursing documentation, medication administration, and patient triage Coordinate staff development, continuing education, and competency validation Lead and support quality improvement initiatives and emergency preparedness planning Serve as a liaison between staff, patients, families, and physicians to ensure a seamless care experience Maintain adequate staffing levels and support recruitment and onboarding of clinical staff Monitor supply levels, equipment functionality, and participate in budget planning and inventory control Participate in clinical duties as needed and respond to escalated patient care issues Qualifications: Current RN license in the state of [State] Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s degree or related leadership training preferred Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in emergency nursing At least 2 years of supervisory or management experience in an acute care or emergency setting Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (TNCC preferred) Strong leadership, communication, and conflict resolution skills Demonstrated knowledge of emergency department operations and regulatory compliance Benefits: Competitive salary Health, dental, and vision insurance Generous paid time off accrual 401(k) retirement plan with employer match Opportunities for leadership development and advancement Employee and dependents may be seen at no cost in any Surepoint facility Physical Demands and Work Environment: The physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
