This is a critical role overseeing a team of 14 professionals across underwriting, operations, and business development functions. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving profitable growth, strengthening market position, and ensuring technical excellence in Marine Hull and associated lines. Key Responsibilities: Lead the Marine Hull team in delivering underwriting profitability and portfolio growth. Develop and execute strategies for market penetration and product competitiveness. Maintain and enhance relationships with brokers, agents, and direct clients. Ensure underwriting decisions align with company risk appetite, regulatory requirements, and internal guidelines. Monitor market trends, claims experience, and pricing strategies to maintain a competitive edge. Coach, mentor, and manage team members, fostering a high-performance and collaborative culture. Collaborate closely with senior management, actuaries, claims, reinsurance, and compliance teams. Represent the company in industry forums and internal leadership discussions. Requirements: Minimum 10–15 years of experience in Marine Hull underwriting, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Strong technical knowledge in Hull & Machinery, P&I, Cargo, and War risks. Proven track record in managing teams and delivering underwriting results. Well-connected with brokers and partners in the regional marine insurance market. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills. ACII or equivalent industry qualification preferred.
