Job Description Job Description Part time: Tues, Wed, Thurs. OFF MON AND FRI MUST BE BILINGUAL Mandarin/English. Key Responsibilities: Visa and Work Permit Processes: Coordinate and manage all aspects of the visa and work permit application processes, ensuring timely submission and compliance with regulations. This may include handling various visa categories, such as H-1B, L-1, OPT, J1, and F1. Compliance: Ensure adherence to government rules and regulations related to immigration. Monitor changes in immigration laws and update processes accordingly. Documentation and Record Keeping: Prepare and submit visa and work permit applications, and maintain accurate records of all immigration documents. This may involve keeping track of public information files (H1B visa filing systems) and employee work authorization records. Guidance and Support: Provide guidance to employees regarding immigration policies, procedures, and potential visa options. Serve as a liaison between employees, legal counsel, and talent acquisition teams. Collaboration with Legal Advisors: Work closely with external immigration counsel or legal advisors to address complex immigration issues and ensure legal compliance. Communication: Communicate with relevant authorities, like the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), to facilitate immigration processes and respond to audits or inquiries. Process Improvement: Standardize processes and improve efficiency in immigration procedures. Develop policy and process documentation, such as FAQs or immigration resources for employees. Reporting and Data Validation: Prepare reports and metrics on immigration activities, such as quarterly dashboards of visa holders or green card applicants, and validate immigration support documentation. Qualifications (Examples): Education: A bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as law, international relations, or human resources. Experience: Experience in immigration law, immigration services, or a related field. Skills: Strong organizational and attention-to-detail skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Knowledge of immigration laws and policies (e.g., US immigration knowledge) Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel Familiarity with immigration software or case management systems Ability to work independently and as part of a team
