Job Description Job Description Summary | Objective The Claims Manager is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and issue resolution skills for all internal and external customers by using excellent, in-depth knowledge of company products, and policies. S/he must communicate effectively with team members within the relevant internal departments. The Claims Manager should be well organized, detail oriented and have a strong sense of urgency. The skill set of active thinking in a task is required. MUST have experience in Home Furnishings, Textiles or other related wholesale home industry. Essential Functions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. · Highly effective interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to professionally communicate with employees and external partners · Liaison between several departments including shipping, account representatives as well accounting department, shipping department and quality assurance · Responsible for initial escalation of customer concerns. · Effectively gather information and communicate, recommended, and execute claim mitigation strategies with cross functional and internal leadership teams. · Demonstrate ability to analyze and drive resolutions. · Provides timely and accurate information to incoming customer requests. · Provides timely feedback to the company regarding customer concerns. · Partners with the sales team to meet and exceed customer service expectations. · Partners with the engineering team and COM Department for custom products and customers own material for sales Orders. · Ability to maintain confidential and trust-based relationships within the organization while elevating issues and concerns appropriately. Reports To Customer Accounts Manager Supervisory Responsibility This position has no current supervisory responsibilities. Work Environment This job operates in a professional fast-paced and demanding office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit, stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Position Type and Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time, non-exempt position. Days and hours of required work are as follows, Monday – Friday 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Hours may vary as needed. Extended and weekend hours mandatory during spring and fall Furniture Markets. Travel Possible, but infrequent if any.
