Field Services Technician (Lighting Control)

Job Description Job Description Self-starting Lighting Controls Field Service Technician capable of delivering superior customer service experience while performing system startup, troubleshooting and end user training for lighting control systems. RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPECTATIONS: Performs onsite lighting control system startup, troubleshooting and end user training. Review project documentation and specifications and control scheme including sequence of operation to ensure system installations match the plans and meet the end user's expectations. Work with integration technicians, building owners, building managers, and contractors to address any technical issues with lighting control integration, and function. Properly document and track all project information to drive to a successful completion in a timely manner. Work independently outside of the office 90% of the time. Manage RMA/Warranty process Coordinate product installation on site Additional Miscellaneous tasks as assigned QUALIFICATIONS: Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications. Understanding of basic electrical components (relays, drivers, ballasts). Understand and keep up to date with Building code requirements Performs onsite troubleshooting by way of being a critical thinker and utilizing problem-solving skills Superb customer service, communication (both written and oral), and self-management skills Good organizational and time management skills, attention to detail and be able to effectively handle multiple priorities. Ability to adapt to dynamic work schedules and flexible shifts Operate vehicle in a safe manner Team player Awareness of chemical, health and safety issues Ability to work safely on a dynamic working construction site Two years’ experience preferred Associates Degree, Technical Degree, or equivalent GENERAL: Active construction site environment Full time 40 hours Flexible start time and location Expected days on construction sites is 90% Expected overnight travel of less than 10% Physical requirements: Ability to climb stairs, ladders, and lift 30lbs Ability to use a screw driver, cable crimper and electrical test equipment Safety equipment that may be required to be worn while working: Hard hat Safety vest Steel toe boots Gloves Safety glasses Ear plugs Company Description For more than 60 years, Diversified has been a fixture in the marketplace.
