Coos Bay, Oregon, Radiation Oncology Job Clinical Role: A 127 bed Level III Trauma, seeks BC/BE Radiation Oncologist to join their teamFull-Time Position80 hours per pay periodShift as assignedSalary dependent on experience, with maximum rate reflecting significant experience in a 40-hour-per-week positionOpen to hospital employees through the Workday internal career siteProvide a broad range of Radiation Oncology services to Cancer Center patientsAdhere to established guidelines, ethics, policies, and protocols of hospital, Cancer Center, and the professionCollaborate with the Oncology Service Line Administrator and the BACC staff as a cooperative and collegial team memberPerform clinical care tasks, including consultations, outpatient clinic work, and inpatient roundingExercise good judgment, problem-solving, and critical thinking skillsFlexible and able to prioritize multiple responsibilities concurrentlyWork effectively under stress and frequently changing job requirementsStrong communication, organizational, and team-building skillsProfessionalism with consistent quality, evidence-based, and compassionate careTeam-oriented with a growth mindsetWide spectrum of radiation oncology skills, including 3DCRT, IMRT, VMAT, SAbR, SRS, 4DCT, and DIBHProficiency with software interfaces such as Aria, Mosaiq, Eclipse, MIM, Pinnacle, EPIC, and CernerMeet criteria for Medical Staff or Allied Health Professional membership and privilegesBoard Certified or eligible within the past 2 yearsHold or obtain an Oregon medical licenseExperience practicing radiation oncology with a strong record or an excellent recent graduatePractice-building experience is a plusFrequently stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, and stretchPossess physical agility and adequate reaction time to respond to patient care needsAdequate hearing, visual acuity, and color vision requiredFine motor skills, eye-hand coordination, and the ability to handle objectsUse proper body mechanics to assist patients in ambulating, transferring in and out of bed, chair, or wheelchairFollow standard precautions due to potential exposure to blood and bodily fluidsCommunicate effectively through reading, writing, and speaking in person or over the phoneThis is a permanent, full-time position that requires residency within the immediate local area.
