Job Description Job Description Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Vincentian Home - 111 Perrymont Road McCandless, PA 15237 Full-Time and Flex options available Flex rate: $30.00/hr, must work a minimum of 8 hours/month to maintain Flex status, and can work up to a maximum of 30 hours/week. Summary Vincentian Home, a senior community in Pittsburgh’s North Hills, is in need of a Licensed Practical Nurse to join our Clinical Excellence Team. The LPN provides technical nursing care, assists with resident care planning and observation of resident’s condition, and reinforces physician, resident and family instructions. What You’ll Do at Vincentian As an LPN at Vincentian, you'll perform individualized personal care for residents in accordance with the established nursing care plan and within scope of licensure, collect electronic and paper data, reports and records observation of residents’ condition, participate in resident care conferences. You'll also attend continuing education programs and unit staff meetings, assist in the orientation of new personnel, maintain confidentiality of resident and staff information and anticipate and take action to maintain a safe environment. You'll also assume responsibility, in the absence of Registered Nurse or when directed by Registered Nurse, for duties such as: administering injections and treatments, making rounds with physician and assisting in examining and treating residents notifying physician of changes in resident’s condition and any unusual or abnormal observations, and other duties as assigned. About You Our Licensed Practical Nurse must meet the following requirements: Current licensure to practice practical nursing in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in good standing or a Temporary Practice Permit required. Appropriate clinical knowledge of nursing care, significant signs and symptoms of disease, sterile and aseptic techniques, nursing procedures and treatment, and developed skills to provide technical nursing care required. Current CPR Certification preferred. Previous experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse in long term care preferred. Previous experience with electronic health records preferred.
