Production Operative - Quality £16 per hour inside IR35 Merthyr Tydfil, Wales, UK This is a full time, permanent position working 5.30am/6.00am with a variable finish depending on workload - equating to between 40 and 48 hours per week. Monday to Friday. We are currently looking for a Production Operative to join a leading food producer with over 50 years of expertise in meat processing and value-added convenience foods. The ideal candidate will be responsible for cutting, trimming, skinning, sorting, and washing the viscera of slaughtered animals to separate edible parts from offal. Operating across 40 countries with multiple sites in Ireland and the UK, the company serves retail, foodservice, and international markets. Sustainability, innovation, and animal welfare are central to its operations, with strong commitments to reducing carbon emissions and promoting responsible sourcing. Key Responsibilities Process and prepare animal carcasses by trimming, skinning, eviscerating, and separating edible parts from offal. Clean and treat hides, remove feet, ears, horns, and perform dressing of carcasses to meet required specifications. Prepare meat products for further processing, sale, or consumption, ensuring quality and hygiene standards are met. Carry out general abattoir duties, including cleaning, sorting, and handling materials for production readiness. Key skills HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) Certification. Experience of working with meat production companies. *P. S: Company cannot provide visa sponsorship, so only candidates residing in UK and with the existing right to work will be considered for the role.
