Financial Accountant

Job & Company Description: A well-established and proudly South African FMCG group is looking for a Financial Accountant to join their finance team. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in accounting, experience in the FMCG, retail, or distribution sectors, and the ability to influence and guide operational teams. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, supporting business strategy, and managing a small team. This role is ideal for someone entrepreneurial, proactive, and ready to challenge the status quo. Other duties include: Full financial accounting function and preparation of monthly financial statements Managing and mentoring junior finance team members Budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis Assisting in driving efficiencies and cost-saving initiatives across departments Business partnering with operational teams to improve performance Education: Completed BCom Accounting degree Completed SAICA or SAIPA articles Job Experience & Skills required: Prior experience in FMCG, retail, or distribution industries (essential) Strong communication and persuasion skills with a collaborative approach Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to challenge and improve existing processes Proven experience managing or supervising a team Deadline-driven and results-oriented APPLY NOW!
