Job Description Job Description We are seeking a skilled and experienced Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of experience in the medical field, either through previous employment or education and MUST be willing to commute to our Boca Raton office as needed. As a Medical Assistant, you will work closely with healthcare professionals to provide clinical and administrative support. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, a self-starter mindset, and comfort with patient care and clinical tasks are essential for success in this role. Responsibilities: Assist healthcare professionals in delivering patient care by preparing examination rooms, sterilizing instruments, and ensuring the availability of necessary supplies. Greet and prepare patients for their appointments, taking vital signs, recording medical history, and updating patient information accurately. Escort patients to examination rooms and explain procedures or treatments, ensuring their comfort and understanding. Perform basic laboratory tests, such as collecting and processing specimens, conducting phlebotomy, and performing EKGs. Administer medications and immunizations as directed by healthcare professionals and maintain accurate records of medication inventory. Assist with minor surgical procedures, including preparing instruments, assisting during procedures, and dressing wounds. Perform basic administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, and managing patient records. Collaborate with the front desk team to ensure efficient patient flow, accurate registration, and timely follow-up. Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of examination rooms and common areas, ensuring compliance with infection control protocols. Assist in maintaining inventory of medical supplies and equipment, restocking as needed, and identifying any deficiencies. Adhere to privacy and security regulations when handling patient information, maintaining confidentiality at all times. Stay updated on medical procedures, protocols, and regulations to provide accurate information and support to patients and staff. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and members of the care team to ensure comprehensive patient care. Qualifications: Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant in a healthcare setting. Bilingual proficiency in languages other than English is preferred but not required. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively. Excellent attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in patient records, documentation, and clinical procedures. Self-starter with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Exceptional customer service skills, with a friendly and compassionate demeanor. Proficient computer skills, including knowledge of electronic medical records (EMR) systems and Microsoft Office Suite. Comfortable with patient care tasks, including vital signs measurement, specimen collection, and medication administration. Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and HIPAA regulations. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure and professionalism.
