We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Operating Room team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background and demonstrate exceptional patient care in a fast-paced surgical environment. This role requires the ability to work collaboratively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the highest standards of patient safety and care during surgical procedures. Shift: Day 5x8-Hour (06:00 - 14:30) Assignment Length: 13 weeks Responsibilities Prepare patients for surgery by conducting pre-operative assessments and ensuring all necessary documentation is complete. Assist in the operating room by providing direct patient care, including monitoring vital signs and administering medications as directed. Collaborate with the surgical team to maintain a sterile environment and adhere to infection control protocols. Perform venipuncture and IV insertion for fluid administration as needed. Provide support to patients and families before, during, and after surgical procedures, addressing any concerns or questions. Document patient information accurately using electronic health record systems such as eClinicalWorks. Participate in ongoing education and training related to operating room practices, including basic life support certification. Experience Skills in IV infusion, dermal fillers, hospice palliative medicine, neonatal ventilator management, and pediatrics are highly desirable. Proven ability to perform venipuncture and manage IV insertion effectively. Strong communication skills with the ability to work well under pressure in a team-oriented environment.
