Account Manager

A leader in advanced safety technology solutions, is seeking a proactive and technically skilled Account Manager to lead a high-performing team of technicians. In this pivotal role, you will oversee customer service excellence, equipment installations, repairs, and drive business development through exceptional relationship management and solution-oriented thinking. Responsibilities: Team Leadership & Management Supervise and support Team Leaders and Technicians to ensure safety equipment is installed and maintained to the highest technical standards. Provide on-site training and mentorship to elevate team performance. Health & Safety Compliance Enforce Chromotion and client-specific Health & Safety protocols. Fulfil supervisory duties as per regulation 8(1)(i). Customer Service Excellence Respond promptly to service and maintenance call-outs. Resolve breakdowns quickly and effectively, minimizing downtime for clients. Project & Operational Oversight Lead project delivery using company templates and schedules. Ensure installations, maintenance, and troubleshooting meet operational benchmarks. Reporting & Administration Complete administrative tasks including COCs, SLAs, service reports, and inventory counts accurately and on time. Customer Relationship Management Conduct regular follow-ups and client visits. Ensure SLA commitments are understood and met by all team members. Business Development & Cross-Selling Identify opportunities to cross-sell Chromotion products. Attend new business meetings and support the sales function. Technical & Product Feedback Relay customer feedback and product improvement ideas to the R&D department. Support continuous improvement of products and internal processes. Matric and Tertriary qualification and/or Technical Trade 3-5 years experience in the mining envrionment Proven experience managing field service teams in a technical environment Strong understanding of installation, troubleshooting, and safety standards Excellent interpersonal and customer relationship-building skills Strong planning, organizational, and project management abilities Proficient in technical reporting and administrative documentation Valid drivers license and willingness to travel for site visits
