Job Description

As a Data Architect on the Digital Healthcare Team, you will lead the design and development of secure, scalable backend systems for data-driven health applications. You'll build platforms supporting consumer and professional tools aimed at improving medication adherence and health outcomes. This role demands leadership, project management, cross-functional collaboration, and technical expertise to deliver impactful, business-aligned solutions. We’re seeking a skilled Data Architect to help develop and launch digital programs for diabetes and other chronic conditions. Our digital health platform empowers patients and caregivers through a connected ecosystem that bridges clinical care and everyday life. Required skills: Proven experience as a Data Architect, with a strong understanding of data architecture principles, practices, and technologies. Must have Clinical/HealthCare experience (preferably related to the United States market) 8 years of overall development experience. 4 years of experience with AWS, DWH services & cloud storages Solid experience with Databricks Solid experience with at least one programming language (Python, Java, etc.) Proven experience building DWH and data lakes, designing ELT / ETL processes Strong knowledge of Big Data, NoSQL, and RDBMS. Deep understanding of data governance, data management, and data quality concepts. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data requirements and translate them into practical data architecture solutions. Proficiency in data modeling tools. Strong communication and collaboration skills to effectively interact with business stakeholders and technical teams. Will be a plus: Experience with DataOps, data mesh etc. Experience in developing data science, analytics, and AI/ML solutions with Databricks. Also nice to have: Experience with medication nomenclatures such as RxNorm and World Health Organization (WHO) International Nonproprietary Names (INN), as well as coding systems like the National Drug Code (NDC) and the International Classification of Diseases, Tenth Revision, Clinical Modification (ICD-10-CM) Responsibilities: Lead the technical design and development of federated data management and federated learning systems to support the scalability of our digital health platform and to support patient ownership and control of healthcare data. Design and create conceptual, logical, and physical data models Evaluate and recommend appropriate data storage, integration, and processing technologies, including data warehouses, data lakes, and cloud-based solutions. Define data standards, data governance policies, and data management processes to ensure data quality, consistency, and security throughout the organization. Define and implement data security and access controls to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with data privacy regulations. Document data architecture artifacts, including data models, data flow diagrams, and system integrations. Collaborate with business stakeholders, data analysts, and technical teams to understand and analyze data requirements and translate them into data architecture solutions. Collaborate with product, engineering, clinical, and behavioral science teams to develop actionable insights and intelligent features within patient- and caregiver-facing digital tools. Stay up to date with emerging data technologies and trends and evaluate their potential impact on the organization's data architecture.
