Operations Supervisor

The supervisor is a leading member of the Core Team and provides coaching leadership to a group of warehouse employees consisting of permanent staff and temporary workers. The supervisor is responsible for ensuring that the team achieves the set goals in the areas of personnel, quality, productivity, and costs. The supervisor maintains executive-level contacts with the customer, provides necessary information, and is co-responsible for achieving good cooperation with the customer and other internal departments. If necessary, escalates issues to the General Manager. The supervisor initiates and actively contributes to improvement projects. The supervisor has a helicopter view and is able to make the right decisions fully in the interest of the operation. Main Tasks Responsible for the proper functioning of the team Leads the team with the help of 2 team leaders to whom he/she delegates tasks Is responsible for achieving the established KPIs of the team and the organization Exemplifies core behaviors and serves as a role model Monitors the process including the distribution of tasks among team members, and ensures adequate adjustments Ensures that deadlines are met Contributes to the development of employees Conducts performance reviews and appraisals Implements the sickness absence policy, including sickness absence meetings with support from HR Performs other HR-related (administrative) tasks concerning the team Holds process improvement meetings Responsible for following up on processes and procedures Takes care of all processes and results concerning quality and productivity Adjusts in a timely manner to observed deviations in processes and procedures Has a proactive and signaling role regarding optimal utilization of warehouse capacity Ensures that procedures are adhered to Is responsible for the concrete execution of NOS audits Enforces the policy in the area of safety and well-being Improvement Processes Takes the initiative for improvement processes in all areas under the responsibility of the branch by identifying bottlenecks, analyzing the current situation, proposing improvement plans, and having these executed Initiates and leads projects Reports and provides information from the audits conducted, discusses the bottlenecks identified during audits within the organization, and makes proposals for improvements Ensures timely resolution of ci cards assigned to the supervisor or his team Other tasks Actively participates in various meetings Daily information provision to General Manager regarding ongoing operational matters Is a member of the emergency response team Performs other tasks Function Requirements HBO work and thinking level, a diploma in higher professional education logistics is an advantage. Several years of work experience in a comparable position Experience with Neovia Operating systems is a plus Excellent knowledge of Dutch and English, both spoken and written Knowledge and/or experience with warehouse management systems is a plus Advanced knowledge and experience with the Microsoft Office suite Personal qualities and competencies Sense of responsibility Ability to lead and motivate people Customer-oriented Analytical skills Accurate Proactive Flexible
