SEN Teaching Assistant

Your new company Hays Education are working with an SEN provision primary school in Southport that are looking for an experienced teaching assistant to join their team. This is a full-time role, and will be permanent for the right person starting from September. Key Responsibilities: Provide support to students with special educational needs in a classroom setting. Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs). Work closely with teachers and other staff to create a supportive learning environment. Help manage classroom behaviour and ensure the safety and well-being of all students. Support students in developing social skills and independence. Requirements: Previous experience working as an SEN Teaching Assistant. Strong understanding of special educational needs and strategies to support them. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude. Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
