Gate & Barrier Engineer Location: North West (Manchester, Liverpool, Warrington and surrounding areas) Salary: £14–£18 per hour (depending on experience) Job Type: Full Time, Permanent Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am–5pm (Overtime & Weekend Work Available) Benefits: Company Van, Tools, Phone, Tablet, 28 Days Holiday (including bank holidays) About the Role: We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and rapidly growing security solutions provider, seeking a skilled and experienced Gate & Barrier Engineer to join their team in the North West. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in installing, servicing, and maintaining a wide range of automated gates and barrier systems. Experience with turnstiles and bollards would be highly advantageous. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated engineer looking to work with a company that values quality, safety, and ongoing development. A fully equipped van, tools, and technology will be provided to support your success in the field. Key Responsibilities: * Install, service and maintain automated gates and barrier systems * Diagnose and repair faults efficiently and effectively * Carry out planned preventative maintenance and ensure systems operate to required standards * Maintain accurate records using company-provided tablet and software * Provide exceptional customer service on-site * Work collaboratively with the wider engineering team * Take part in a shared call-out rota (where applicable) What We’re Looking For: * Minimum of 5 years’ hands-on experience with automated gates and barriers * Experience with turnstiles and bollards is a strong advantage * Full UK driving licence * Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills * Self-motivated, reliable and professional approach to work * Health and safety aware * Excellent communication and organisational skills What’s on Offer: * Competitive hourly rate (£14–£18 depending on skills and experience) * Full-time, permanent position with a growing business * Overtime and weekend work paid at enhanced rates * Company van * Tools, phone and tablet provided * Ongoing training and support where needed * 28 days holiday (including bank holidays)
