SEN Teaching Assistant

Teaching Assistant (SEN) - Monmouth - £90 per day Academics - Acting as an agency on behalf of schools in Newport - is currently seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to work in a variety of primary and secondary schools across the Monmouth area. This is a temporary role , with opportunities for long-term or permanent placements for the right candidate. Job Details: Position: Teaching Assistant (Special Educational Needs - SEN) Location: Monmouth and surrounding areas Type: Temporary (potential for permanent) Pay: £90 per day (this includes holiday pay) Start Date: September 2025 Responsibilities: Support pupils with a range of additional learning needs (ALN/SEN), including ASD, ADHD, and SEMH Work closely with teachers and the SENCO to deliver tailored support Assist with personal care if required Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment Requirements: Enhanced DBS (on the Update Service or willing to obtain) Experience working as a Teaching Assistant , ideally with SEN/ALN students Relevant training and qualifications in education or child development are desirable Excellent communication skills and a patient, flexible approach Why Join Academics?
