Job Title: Commercial Gas Engineer (Service & Maintenance) Location: Swindon & Surrounding Areas Salary: Circa £50,000 per annum Benefits: Company Vehicle, Travel Pay, Pension Scheme, Overtime Opportunitie. About the Role:We are seeking an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to join our growing service and maintenance team, covering Swindon and the surrounding areas. This is a permanent, full-time role ideally suited to a proactive individual with a strong background in commercial heating systems, diagnostics, and maintenance. As part of our dedicated engineering team, you’ll be responsible for carrying out reactive repairs, planned maintenance, and fault-finding on a variety of commercial gas appliances and plant rooms across client sites in sectors such as healthcare, and retail. Key Responsibilities: * Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on commercial heating and hot water systems. * Diagnose and repair faults on gas-fired boilers, warm air heaters, radiant tube heaters, and associated plant equipment. * Conduct safety checks and ensure compliance with current gas regulations. * Provide detailed service reports and communicate effectively with clients and internal teams. * Respond to emergency breakdowns as part of an on-call rota (additional pay applies). * Maintain tools, equipment, and the company vehicle in good working order. Essential Requirements: * Current Commercial Gas Safe qualifications (COCN1, CIGA1, CDGA1, ICPN1, TPCP1A, CODNCO1). * Full UK driving licence. * Strong fault-finding skills and a commitment to high standards of customer service. * Willingness to travel throughout the Swindon area and occasionally beyond. Desirable: * Additional qualifications in LPG, OFTEC, or domestic gas.
