Secondary Teaching Assistant | Derbyshire, S41| Temp - Perm Contract | £105 - £115 | Starting September 2025 Support Students Who Need You Most LTF Recruitment is working with a specialist Alternative Provision Secondary School in Derbyshire (S41) to appoint a dedicated Secondary Teaching Assistant from September 2025. This role is an excellent opportunity to positively influence the lives of students who require a more personalised, therapeutic approach to learning due to behavioural, emotional, or social needs. The Role As a Teaching Assistant in this secondary alternative provision setting, you will: Provide consistent 1:1 and small group support tailored to individual needs Collaborate with subject teachers, behaviour mentors, and SENCOs to deliver structured, supportive learning plans Assist with emotional regulation and implement effective behaviour management strategies Promote student engagement, confidence, and progress across a range of subjects Support de-escalation and maintain a safe, structured classroom environment What We're Looking For We're seeking resilient and compassionate individuals who thrive in a non-traditional school environment: Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (Essential) Experience in a secondary school or alternative provision setting Strong behaviour management skills and emotional resilience A commitment to supporting pupils with SEMH, SEND, or behavioural challenges Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset Ability to build trust and provide consistent, supportive relationships with vulnerable learners Why Join LTF Recruitment?
