Job Title: Chemistry Teacher Location: Hemel Hempstead Start Date: September 2025 Contract Type: Full-time – Temp to Perm Salary: £33,075 to £50,471 (dependent on experience) About the Role: We are seeking a passionate and experienced Chemistry Teacher to join a well-regarded secondary school in Hemel Hempstead. This role is ideal for someone eager to inspire students and deliver high-quality lessons in Chemistry from Key Stage 3 through to Key Stage 5. Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver engaging and effective Chemistry lessons across KS3, KS4, and potentially KS5 Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level examinations with strong subject knowledge Use a variety of teaching strategies to meet the needs of all learners Assess, monitor, and report on pupil progress regularly Create a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages curiosity and achievement Collaborate with science department colleagues and contribute to curriculum development Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding pupil progress Qualifications & Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Proven experience teaching Chemistry at secondary level, including KS4 and ideally KS5 Strong subject knowledge in Chemistry and familiarity with GCSE and A-Level specifications Excellent classroom management and communication skills A commitment to raising pupil attainment and fostering a love for science Ability to work well within a team and contribute to department initiatives Why Join Us?
