Multi Skilled Engineer Darlington

Job Title: Multi-Skilled Technician Location: Darlington Salary: 40k The Role As a Multi-Skilled Technician, you will be responsible for a range of maintenance tasks across building systems including electrical, mechanical, and basic fabric work. This is a hands-on role requiring technical competence, flexibility, and a proactive approach to solving problems and maintaining high standards of safety and service delivery. Key Responsibilities Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive tasks on building systems (e.g., HVAC, lighting, plumbing, electrical, fabric) Diagnose faults and complete repairs across electrical and mechanical systems Conduct general building repairs and assist with small installations and project works Ensure all work is completed in compliance with health & safety regulations and company procedures Accurately complete job reports, risk assessments, and relevant documentation Liaise with the site team and contractors to ensure seamless service delivery Participate in an on-call rota (if required)Essential Skills & Experience Proven experience in a multi-skilled maintenance or building services role Relevant technical qualification(s) in either Electrical, Mechanical, or Building Services (e.g., NVQ Level 2/3, City & Guilds) Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills Understanding of general building fabric and systems (lighting, plumbing, HVAC, etc.) Ability to work independently or as part of a team Good communication and customer service skills Full UK driving licence (if mobile role)Desirable: 18th Edition (if electrically qualified) HVAC or F-Gas Certification (if applicable) Basic carpentry, painting, or fabric repair skills Experience in a critical or commercial environmentRG Setsquare is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy
