Electrician Mate

Job Title: Electrician Mate Location: Scarborough Salary: £17.00ph Job Type: Temporary Contract Reports To: Qualified Electrician / Site Supervisor Job Summary: We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Electrician Mate to assist qualified electricians with installation and replacment of new LED lighting on a commercial site. The successful candidate will support all aspects of electrical work, ensuring safety and efficiency on the job. Key Responsibilities: * Assist electricians with the installation of electrical systems and components. * Pull cables, drill holes, and mount electrical fixtures such as sockets, switches, and lights. * Carry and manage tools, equipment, and materials. * Help test electrical systems and identify faults. * Maintain clean and safe work environments. * Follow all health and safety procedures and site rules. * Read and interpret technical drawings under supervision. * Carry out general laboring duties when required. Requirements: Essential: * Some prior experience in electrical or construction work. * Basic understanding of electrical systems and safety procedures. * Willingness to learn and take instruction from qualified electricians. * Physically fit and able to perform manual labor tasks. * Good communication and teamwork skills. * Punctual, reliable, and safety-conscious. Desirable: * ECS card is required * NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Electrical Installation * Driving license. Working Conditions: * Work may involve indoor and outdoor settings, including construction sites. * Working hours are 10 - 12 hours, Monday - Friday (possible early finish on the friday) * PPE must be worn at all times * Own tools
