Travel Nurse RN-Behavioral Health at Ascension summary: The Travel Nurse RN-Behavioral Health provides direct patient care to behavioral health patients across multiple Ascension acute care hospitals, supporting treatment plans and conducting group therapy sessions. This full-time, permanent position involves 8-13 week travel assignments with options for local and national travel based on healthcare needs. The role requires a Registered Nurse license, BLS certification, and preferably recent experience in behavioral health nursing. Details Weekly Travel Rate up to $1,387 - $2,170 Department: Associate Travel Program Schedule: Multiple Shifts available, 36 hours per week Hospital: Multiple Ascension acute care hospitals Location: Local and national travel options are available dependent on need. This position is a permanent, full time position made up of 8-13 week assignments - not a short term option or temporary contract. Ability to extend as needed. Responsibilities Provide direct patient care to behavioral health patients in accordance with the established policies and procedures of the facility. Perform initial and on-going bio-psychosocial assessments according to accepted standards of nursing ractice. Develop a nursing plan of care consistent with the master treatment plan. Participate in treatment team conferences to assist in planning and revising goals, objectives and interventions appropriate to the age-related and problem-specific needs of each patient. Implement nursing plan of care for assigned patients and conducts and/or co-leads group therapy sessions for patients. Evaluate patient's response to interventions and revises nursing plan of care as needed. Collaborate with the treatment team to revise goals, objectives and interventions appropriate to the changes in patient status. Requirements Licensure / Certification / Registration: Required Credential(s): BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Registered Nurse obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Education: Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire. Additional Preferences One year of recent experience in Behavioral Health strongly preferred. Local and national travel options are available depending on need.
