Job Info Job Location: Newburgh, NY Route Type: Local Type of Assignment: Direct Hire Hours Per Shift: 9 Hours Hours Per Week: 45 Hours Shift Start Time: 08:00 am Working Days: Mon-Fri Transmission Type: Automatic Job Requirements Additional Information Diesel Technician | Newburgh, NY Job Type: Full-Time Pay Rate: $28 - $32/hr Depending on experience & certifications Sign on Bonus: $2,000 paid out within first 90 days on employment Schedule: Monday - Friday 8AM - 4:30PM Key Responsibilities: Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical and mechanical tractor and trailer-related issues using standard testing procedures and computer diagnostic equipment such as JPRO, OEM Diagnostic Software, Multimeters, and Windows Performance preventive maintenance on our fleet of tractors & trailers Perform DOT inspection per FMSCA guidelines Physically capable to perform all job duties, which includes being able to lift and/or pull 75 lbs or more without restriction, stand or lie for extended periods, and have flexible movement to reach equipment. Requirements: Must have a valid driver's license Preferred ability to obtain a Class B license Technical or advanced degree or 2 years or more of Class 8 diesel experience Familiarity with troubleshooting equipment repairs and maintenance with diagnostic tools and equipment such as JPRO, OEM Diagnostic Software, Multimeters, and Windows Successfully demonstrated problem-solving skills Examples of teamwork and customer service skills, including good oral and written communication skills.
