Job Description

Sales Manager NESFircroft is currently supporting a leading German manufacturer of high-quality hydraulic components and systems, in their introduction into the Dutch market. With over 70 years of engineering excellence and innovation, theay are recognized for its robust, energy-efficient solutions across sectors such as mobile hydraulics, industrial automation, and renewable energy. As they open the first subsidiary in the Netherlands, we are looking for a Sales Manager to be the first local hire and play a pivotal role in shaping the company's presence and success in the region. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of an international company with strong support from the headquarters in Germany while pioneering a new local operation. You will receive the support of the experienced international team at HQ in Germany while taking ownership of local customer engagement and commercial growth. Key Responsibilities Sales & Customer Development Acquire new customers and re-engage with inactive accounts to grow market presence. Build and nurture long-term customer relationships, ensuring satisfaction and loyalty. Manage end-to-end customer interactions — virtual, phone-based, and occasional in-person meetings — with proper documentation. Analyse customer needs and recommend technical solutions aligned with the portfolio. Identify upsell opportunities and suggest value-added alternatives. Commercial Responsibilities Prepare and manage the annual sales budget (OSB, OSF), ensuring performance against targets. Create, manage, and negotiate offers, pricing, delivery, and payment terms. Coordinate customer price lists and maintain accurate, updated delivery schedules in collaboration with our CIS team. Oversee aftersales order handling (note: this role does not involve field service). Strategic Sales Support Develop and coordinate framework agreements and logistics solutions (e.g., EDI interfaces, supplier portals) between customers and the German HQ. Support campaigns and represent them at trade shows, conferences, and promotional events. Contribute to market research, competitor analysis, and potential identification in collaboration with product and market managers. What We’re Looking For Background in mechanical engineering, hydraulics, mechatronics, or a related technical field preferred. Proven experience in sales engineering, technical account management, or B2B industrial sales. Ability to understand customer applications and translate them into suitable technical solutions. Hands-on experience or technical affinity — while not required, it’s a plus if you’ve once “gotten your hands dirty” in the field. Experience with CRM platforms (Salesforce preferred). Strong communication, negotiation, and documentation skills. Fluent in Dutch and English; German is an advantage. Willingness to travel within the Netherlands and to HQ when needed. What You Should Know About the Role Preference for a full-time employment (40hours), but open to part-time arrangements for temporary life circumstances. The role has a strong focus on aftersales and account management , not field service. You’ll handle customer support and orders but won’t be doing technical service work on-site. Flexible in how you structure your day. Whether your work style leans more toward a 60/40 or 40/60 split between customer interaction and internal coordination, what matters most to us is sales net impact — not how you divide your time. This role offers a unique opportunity to help establish the company's local presence in the Netherlands and build lasting customer partnerships from the ground up. If you are a motivated, self-driven technical sales professional looking to take the next step in your career, we’d love to hear from you.
