Position Overview: Optimize global logistics network efficiency and effectiveness through capacity planning, network modeling, and warehouse engineering. It involves analyzing infrastructure, mid- and long-term supply plans, and designing agile, cost-effective networks to accommodate growth while maximizing service levels. Your Key Areas of Responsibilities Include: Conduct detailed analysis of current logistics capacity, including warehouse space, transportation routes, and distribution centers, to identify areas for optimization. Project mid- and long-term capacity requirements. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to logistics capacity and network performance. Utilize advanced modeling techniques and simulation tools to translate supply plans into optimal logistics networks considering factors such as transportation costs, lead times, inventory levels, and service requirements. Provide short-term analysis and recommendations on resilient network adaptations in response to unplanned capacity/demand changes that are limited in time. Engineer and oversee warehouse layout designs to maximize productivity and handle projected volume throughputs. Set and oversee global MHE (including automation) requirements and standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including commercial, operations, planning, logistics, and finance, to align capacity planning efforts with business goals and objectives. Lead projects and coordinate stakeholder resources to implement capacity expansion initiatives, such as warehouse expansions, transportation fleet upgrades, or network reconfigurations. Conduct regular reviews and audits of logistics capacity and network performance to ensure alignment with business needs and objectives. Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in logistics capacity planning, network modeling, and warehouse design. Provide guidance and support to logistics team members on capacity planning processes, tools, and methodologies. Required Experience and Skills: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Supply Chain Management, Statistics, or equivalent experience. Advanced or fluent level of English. Logistics Experience: Experience in logistics operations, understanding transportation, warehousing, and distribution processes; experience designing and optimizing logistics networks considering costs, lead times, and service requirements. Capacity Planning: Experience forecasting demand, analyzing logistics capacity, and using modeling tools to optimize resources. Network Modeling: Experience designing agile, cost-effective logistics networks using various tools and techniques. Team Collaboration and Interpersonal Skills: Proven ability to collaborate across departments to align capacity planning efforts with business goals.
