Job Description
Skills and Competencies: Strong knowledge of US GAAP, inventory accounting, and financial reporting standards. Hands-on experience with financial consolidation tools; OneStream Proficient in working with multiple ERP systems Experience in process automation Proven experience in leading and managing teams of professionals, ensuring high performance and motivation. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills to interact with global finance teams, business units, and senior leadership. Experience in global transition projects, managing cross-functional relationships, and adapting to cultural and geographical diversity. Qualifications and Experience : 10 years of experience in Record to Report (RTR) processes, including financial close, consolidation, reporting, and account reconciliation operations. Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in implementing R2R transformations across multiple geographies. Extensive experience in designing and executing shared service models and R2R transformation initiatives to drive operational efficiency and accuracy. Strong strategic thinking and change management expertise, ensuring successful adoption of R2R improvements and systems. Financial Close and Reporting Oversight Lead the execution of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial close activities to ensure accuracy and adherence to deadlines. Oversee preparation of financial statements, management reports, and regulatory filings in compliance with GAAP, IFRS, or other applicable standards. Ensure consistency and accuracy in intercompany accounting and reconciliations across global entities. Monitor and refine key performance indicators (KPIs), such as close cycle time and reconciliation quality, to drive continuous improvement. Account Reconciliation and Maintenance Implement standardized reconciliation processes to ensure timely resolution of account discrepancies and accurate reporting of balances. Oversee high-risk account reviews, ensuring critical issues are escalated and resolved promptly. Champion best practices in ledger integrity, chart of accounts management, and account classification consistency. Conduct root-cause analysis on reconciliation variances, driving preventative measures and improved processes. Compliance and Governance Ensure RTR processes comply with corporate policies, regulatory requirements, and internal control frameworks. Drive the establishment of robust internal controls, including segregation of duties and approvals, to mitigate operational and financial risks. Coordinate and lead internal and external audits, addressing queries, and implementing corrective actions as necessary. Stay updated on evolving accounting standards and compliance requirements, implementing changes as needed. Transformation and Process Optimization Spearhead process improvement initiatives to streamline the RTR lifecycle, including automation, standardization, and centralization of shared services. Identify opportunities to reduce manual effort and enhance system integration for financial close and reporting tools. Collaborate with IT and ERP teams to implement and optimize technology solutions supporting RTR processes. Drive strategic initiatives to achieve operational scalability and maintain alignment with organizational goals. Team Leadership and Development Build and lead a high-performing RTR team, setting clear performance goals aligned with corporate objectives. Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement. Forecast and manage team resource needs to meet dynamic business demands and volume fluctuations. Promote cross-functional collaboration with FP&A, treasury, procurement, and operations teams to drive synergy across financial functions. Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration Serve as the primary liaison between the RTR function and internal/external stakeholders, ensuring alignment on priorities and deliverables. Partner with senior leadership to provide insights and recommendations on financial performance and process enhancements. Resolve complex operational challenges with a proactive, solutions-oriented approach, and escalate critical issues when necessary. Host regular financial close review meetings, fostering alignment and transparency across teams.
