Senior Project Manager (Data) to support Large Integration Project with our client in the Insurance Industry

Offices: Toronto, Mississauga or Waterloo Work Model: 3 Days/Week in Office Duration: 1-year with possibility of an extension for another year. Hours: 40 HRS/Week We are seeking an experienced Data Project Manager to lead complex programs focused on data platforms and technical infrastructure. This role requires someone who can drive cross-functional alignment, manage dependencies, and deliver solutions that support business objectives. You will help transform our data capabilities while ensuring systems are robust, scalable, and secure. Key Responsibilities: Define, plan, and deliver large-scale data and technical projects Develop project roadmaps, timelines, and resource plans Lead programs through the full lifecycle, including budgets, schedules, and risk management Apply best practices in Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or Hybrid methodologies Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, data science, product, business stakeholders) Manage priorities and build consensus across teams Understand modern data architecture (data lakes, data warehouses, ETL/ELT, analytics tools) Understand core technical infrastructure (cloud platforms, APIs, cybersecurity) Communicate program progress, risks, and results to senior leadership Champion continuous improvement and mentor junior PMs Required Qualifications: 10 years of project/program management experience in technical environments 5 years managing data platforms, infrastructure, or complex enterprise systems Strong knowledge of SDLC and experience managing software engineering teams Familiarity with data governance, data quality, and security Skilled in project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, MS Project) Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field Preferred: Master’s degree (MBA or MS) PMP or Agile certifications Insurance industry experience Exposure to MLOps or machine learning project cycles Apply
