Job Description The Amazon Aviation Security (AvSec) team is seeking an enthusiastic, customer-obsessed AvSec Security Specialist to support and oversee x-ray screening operations in Brazil. This is a new initiative for the transportation supply chain to secure air cargo on passenger aircraft. We have two roles: one in Contagem, Minas Gerais, and the other in Rio de Janeiro. Responsibilities include supporting the Regional AvSec Manager, ensuring compliance with corporate policies, federal regulations, and standardized processes. The AvSec Manager will perform ongoing assessments of operating risks and develop mitigation strategies to sustain business operations. This evolving business operation requires someone who can introduce best practices and act decisively as efforts ramp up. Key Responsibilities Managing ambiguity and allocating resources to meet daily goals Managing processes, vendor x-ray screening operators, and securing the supply chain for air freight Developing the workforce to meet long-term process targets Supporting third-party vendors Verifying compliance with security procedures, regulations, and policies; utilizing Security Management Systems (SeMS) for risk mitigation Developing and evaluating security standards, establishing workflows, SLAs, and operational excellence mechanisms to ensure data-driven, validated customer outcomes Basic Qualifications Bachelor's Degree Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications Advanced English skills, both written and oral Experience in a customer service environment Experience conducting workplace risk investigations Preferred Qualifications Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in security or related field Experience in corporate security management, transportation/supply chain security, or AvSec Amazon promotes an inclusive culture.
