Technical Maintenance Manager

Job Description

Accountable for overseeing, strategizing, and organizing the plant maintenance organization. The position also entails overseeing and guiding the maintenance personnel. Formulate, oversee, and regulate the yearly maintenance budget. Develop, execute, distribute, and oversee the predictive and preventive maintenance program for the facility, utilizing the management software supplied by the business. Analysis of underlying causes of issues and execution of ongoing enhancement strategies for processes and equipment. Establish providers of goods and services, both domestic and international. Engage in the modifications to corporate governance engineering and innovative initiatives. Facilitate the evaluation of control methodologies, materials, processes, and outcomes. Engage in root cause analysis procedures and problem-solving teams, such as 8D reports and departmental meetings. Monitor the execution of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM). Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Establish and sustain the maintenance systems with the Odyssey software. Engage in plant operations to secure quality system certification and customer evaluations. Oversee, delineate, utilize, and accurately recognize the essential inventory of equipment. Implement and oversee the department's strategic goals, together with the essential metrics to evaluate the defined objectives. Oversee staff shift assignments, conduct timely appraisals of personnel, regulate overtime and vacation allocations, and ensure proper utilization of personal protective equipment (PPE). Adhere to and distribute all organizational processes and policies (e.g., quality manual policies, employee manual, procedures, etc.). Identify and address areas for enhancement in equipment and maintenance people, implementing requisite procedures for improvement. Adhere to all protocols mandated by internal safety and occupational health and safety administration for everyday work operations. Verify that all safety devices are installed and operational and assess the individual utilization of personal protective equipment (PPE) by the team. Execute the designated engineering modifications and liaise with relevant departments as per the established agreement. Guarantee adherence to local, state, and federal statutes, rules, and policies. Oversee the management of resources and the implementation of the 5S methodology in your workspace. Guarantee that both existing and new personnel receive training on environmental matters. Understand and advocate for environmental policy. Engage in and assess actions pertaining to the Environmental Management System. Guarantee an appropriate reaction in the event of an environmental crisis. Education and Experience Requirements: Preferably, four years of experience as a maintenance manager or in a comparable role. A minimum of 5 to 8 years of experience in overseeing non-union or unionized personnel. 90% Bilingual English- Spanish. Proficient in utilizing maintenance management software. Comprehension of the plant's electrical and electronic control systems, alongside the use of engineering methodologies for problem solving. Position Authority: Develops and controls the annual maintenance budget. Engage in the assessment and recruitment of new personnel for unionized maintenance staff and professional-level positions. Assign duties to personnel under their supervision in a manner that is appropriate. Ensure compliance and improve the department's performance by managing the area, processes, and indicators that are focused on continuous improvement.
