Construction Project Engineer

Job Description Job Description Position Overview: We’re looking for a Construction Project Engineer to join our team on a school construction project in Long Beach, CA . This is an in-person role that supports the day-to-day operations of the field and office teams, ensuring smooth coordination between all project stakeholders. Candidates should have 3–5 years of construction experience , with DSA project experience preferred . Key Responsibilities: Assist the Project Manager and Superintendent with project coordination, planning, and execution Support RFIs, submittals, and change order management Communicate effectively with subcontractors, vendors, architects, and engineers Help manage construction documentation, drawings, and specifications Coordinate DSA-related tasks and support compliance efforts Conduct jobsite walks and generate field reports Use construction management tools (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam) to support daily operations Preferred Qualifications: 3–5 years of construction experience , preferably in commercial or public works projects Experience with DSA (Division of the State Architect) processes is a plus Proficiency in Procore , Bluebeam , and Microsoft Office Suite Strong organizational and problem-solving skills Excellent written and verbal communication abilities A team player who thrives in a fast-paced, field-driven environment What We Offer: Competitive salary with performance-based bonuses 401(k) with company match Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage Paid vacation and holidays A collaborative, growth-oriented workplace with direct access to leadership
