At the Duchess of Devonshire Wing, we provide quality care for both UK and International patients receiving a broad range of active and palliative systemic anti-cancer therapies and supportive care. Working as an efficient and collaborative multi-disciplinary team with our medical colleagues, specialist pharmacists, allied health professionals and wellbeing therapists, we deliver many new and novel targeted therapies and are a leading stem cell transplant and CAR-T therapy centre. Job Profile: Job Type: This is a full-time, permanent position working 37.5 hours per week. Salary: Band 6 Location: The Duchess of Devonshire Wing Cancer Centre, The London Clinic. We also offer excellent career development; with clear career pathways and access to further education Key Duties: As a Band 6 Nurse in our growing team, you will: Provide exemplary, holistic care to people with oncology and haemato-oncology diagnoses with the aim of empowering them to be actively engaged in their care plan. Deliver systemic anti-cancer therapies including cytotoxic chemotherapy and an ever-increasing range of new and novel immunotherapies. Provide supportive care via blood product support, bisphosphonates, therapeutic venesection, post-transplant monitoring etc Utilise the UKONS 3 triage tool in every day practice to assess fitness for treatment and to ensure the safety and timely care of patients accessing Acute Oncology Services (AOS). Provide psychological and physical support to patients and families throughout their treatment journey. Collaborate as a valued member of a multidisciplinary team, contributing to critical decision making and individualised care planning.
