Direct message the job poster from Evolution Singapore Principal Consultant - Technology Project Services @ Evolution Recruitment Solutions Position Overview We are looking for a skilled professional with extensive experience in SAP BI and data engineering to help guide and manage our business intelligence reporting function. This role is hands-on and operational in nature, requiring someone who is both highly motivated and detail-focused, with the flexibility to commit extra hours when project deadlines demand. Core Duties Provide leadership support to the reporting team, offering mentorship and ensuring consistent delivery of business intelligence and analytics outputs. Take charge of building, implementing, and maintaining reports using SAP BusinessObjects tools. Oversee administrative tasks within the BOBJ environment, including user setup, access controls, folder structuring, and authorization processes. Create REST API integrations to streamline communication between SAP BOBJ and other platforms. Drive the creation of HANA-based ABAP CDS views, RAP services, and OData (SEGW) services to fulfill reporting requirements. Work closely with business units to gather reporting needs and turn those into scalable, maintainable technical implementations. Design and deliver interactive reports and dashboards using Web Intelligence (WebI) to support data-informed decisions. Utilize CDS data modeling to extract actionable insights from complex datasets. Apply SAP CDS security frameworks and access controls to maintain compliance and ensure secure data handling. Tailor WebI report formats for better usability and end-user experience. Support the reporting lead in incident management by stepping in as the secondary escalation point, helping troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently. Required Experience & Skills Deep practical knowledge of SAP BusinessObjects tools, Web Intelligence, ABAP Core Data Services, and analytics data modeling. Proven experience with RESTful API development and SAP system integrations. Strong operational acumen with the ability to maintain continuous BI platform performance and uptime. Demonstrated leadership and initiative, capable of independent decision-making while managing team tasks. Availability to work flexible or extended hours when project schedules require. Exceptional analytical thinking, communication abilities, and stakeholder engagement skills.
