Job Description

Quantity Surveyor Location: Glasgow Salary: £50,000 Car Allowance Benefits Type: Permanent, Full-Time I'm currently working with a well-established housebuilder who are looking to add a Quantity Surveyor to their commercial team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with residential experience to join a successful and supportive business working on high-quality housing developments. The Role: You’ll be responsible for managing the financial and contractual aspects of multiple projects, ensuring costs are controlled and value is delivered throughout. It’s a great role for someone confident in managing subcontractor packages, valuations, and cost reporting—while also being able to build strong relationships on-site and with commercial colleagues. Key Responsibilities Include: Overseeing all commercial elements across multiple residential sites Preparing budgets, forecasts, and cost reports Managing subcontractor procurement, payments, and final accounts Liaising closely with site teams, technical staff, and suppliers Ensuring projects are delivered on budget and in line with commercial targets Identifying risks and opportunities to maximise value What We’re Looking For: Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the housebuilding sector Strong understanding of residential build processes and commercial functions Confident communicator with good negotiation and problem-solving skills Ability to manage your own workload across multiple sites Relevant qualifications in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent experience) Full UK driving licence What’s on Offer: £50,000 basic salary Car allowance Full benefits package Long-term career progression with a reputable and growing housebuilder A collaborative working culture and strong commercial leadership If you're looking for a fresh challenge with a forward-thinking developer, I'd love to speak with you.
