Server - Part-time

POSITION DESCRIPTION: The Verger residence located in St-Jérôme offers seniors a warm and safe environment while respecting the specific needs of each individual, with integrity and complete privacy. We are currently looking for a server for a permanent part-time position, between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. per week, daytime from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. or from 6:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. and every other weekend. ROLE AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: As part of the team, ensure the cleanliness of the dining rooms floors, tables and chairs (may require light housekeeping chores, sweeping, vacuuming, cleaning etc.). Bring plates to tables and provide personalized service Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure good teamwork Greet clients and orient new residents by proposing their seat at an appropriate table Greet residents in the dining room and ensure they are comfortable In cooperation with the kitchen staff, prepare daily and à la carte menus and answer residents' questions regarding meals and preparation Manage guests' reservations and ensure their comfort Perform other related duties Take orders, noting specific requests and following-up with the kitchen staff EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: 1 year of relevant experience will be considered an important asset Good team player Knowledge of retirement homes, a major asset Experience in a large restoration's volume (an asset) BENEFITS: Salary to be discussed Uniform provided Free parking Referral Program Possibility of advancement Social leave and family obligations Vacation Employee Assistance Program Social Club activities, gifts and substantial discounts Career Opportunity Welcome and integration Program A welcoming and tight-knit team!
